Ham In Cider
Ingredients:
1 fully-cooked Albert’s Meats Tavern Ham
4 cups sweet apple cider
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups white seedless raisins
Directions:
Place ham and cider in slow cooker. Cover, and cook on low for 8 hours. Remove ham from cider and place in baking pan. Make a paste of sugar, mustard, cloves and a little bit of hot cider. Brush over ham. Pour a cup of juice from the slow cooker into the baking pan, and stir in raisins. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes, until the paste has turned to glaze. Remove ham from oven and let cool 10 minutes, then serve.
Ham And Cabbage
Ingredients:
1 fully-cooked Albert’s Meats Tavern Ham
1 medium-sized cabbage head, quartered
2 carrots, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 potatoes, cubed
2 bay leaves
¼ cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Place sliced vegetables in bottom of slow cooker. Place ham on top. Pour in water and add desired amount of salt and pepper. Cover, and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool 10 minutes, then serve.
